Missouri Just Got Smarter

Missouri school children just got smarter

No, they didn't magically learn to pay attention in school or randomly decide they wanted to learn. The State Board of Education has lowered its expectations on the Missouri Assesment Program (MAP) test. The guy in charge says that they lowered them in response to most other states dumbing down their expectations. The state screwed themselves on this one. Way to give your teachers a vote of confidence Missouri. You might as well say "We believe our teachers are no better than teachers in the rest of the country who can't teach" or "We have finally given up on our youths getting smarter, so we'll just lower our expectations."
