Michael J. Fox Wasn't Faking But She Was

Did you feel for the lady in the Anti-stem cell ad who sold her eggs to a fertility clinic to pay the bills? Well, you got suckered. An article in the Columbia Missourian today is reporting that the lady in the ad is an actress reading a script. Vitae Caring Foundation did the ad and has admitted that it was an actress in the ad. The president of Vitae is on record saying that the ad isn't misleading. Does he even know what misleading means? I guess me going on tv saying I had lasik and now I'm blind wouldn't be misleading either.

Interesting Tobacco Tax Article

Here's an interesting article about the proposed tobacco tax increase on the ballot in Missouri. Post-Dispatch link

Did you know?

  • 1/3 of the increase in revenue would go towards paying doctors more for seeing Missouri Medicaid patients? Currently Missouri Medicaid pays around $21 per visit whereas the federal program pays about $35.

  • $800,000 will apparently go towards teaching stores that selling smokes to minors is bad. You would think that the threat of fines or common sense would teach people that? Guess not.
